The bulk of the folder is correspondence with publisher Random House surrounding the "Super Living Rooms" book, as well as correspondence with other colleagues. The original drawings are also similar to illustrations in the book. There is also information about and a resume for artist Sally Janin.

This folder contains 35mm slides, mixed paper documents (including original rug design drawings, sketches, correspondence and related research), and one actual rug sample from 1968. Malino sent the rug designs to Susan Grant Lewin, editor of House Beautiful, as suggestions for a potential client of hers--Malino called this rug design series "Dots, Squares and Stripes".
